Dear clients, intercultural volunteer participants, and guests,
A warm welcome to Farm Narava.
Farm Narava is a non-profit and humble community project where we work together with volunteers and ask only for small contributions within the agreement to help cover part of the actual costs. Our goal is to continue a welcoming, safe, and inspiring place where people from different cultures can meet, learn from one another, recover and enjoy nature.
During your stay you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings with excellent hiking opportunities, explore the Idrijca and Soča Valley, swim in crystal clear mountain water, share delicious meals, and spend quality time together with people from many different backgrounds on certain periods.
Since 2018, we have welcomed hundreds of guests, volunteers, families, youth groups, and community members. Thanks to the wonderful feedback we have received for our hospitality and shared meals, we have been able to continue and expand our social projects in Slovenia and abroad with partners.
Farm Narava continues a legacy of community and social support that began many years ago through the Pirih and Šimić families. Inspired by this tradition, we have created a place where everyone is welcome regardless of nationality, culture, religion, or background.
We ask everyone to help us maintain this warm, respectful, and family friendly atmosphere by following the house rules below.
These house rules apply to everyone staying or participating at Farm Narava.
Treat everyone with kindness and respect.
Respect each other's privacy and do not enter private areas.
Take good care of Farm Narava's buildings, equipment, furniture, and nature.
Please leave the area clean and do not leave litter behind for others to clean.
The trampolines, slides, and children's playground are intended for younger children only.
Do not stand on chairs or tables or climb over furniture.
Children should always be supervised by their parents or guardians.
For everyone's safety, the following are strictly prohibited:
Aggressive, threatening, or disrespectful behaviour.
The use or possession of drugs.
Carrying knives or other weapons without prior permission.
Any serious violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of your stay without contribution refund and may prevent future participation in Farm Narava or partner projects across Europe. Pictures from children, other guests or private property can not be taken without permission upfront.
If necessary, local authorities may be contacted to ensure the safety of everyone present.
If property is damaged through negligence, misuse, or intentional actions, the responsible person must pay for the repair or replacement immediately.
In accordance with Slovenian law and our own house rules:
Smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited for anyone under the age of 18. We advice no alcohol and smoking under 21 years of age
Please drink responsibly and respect other guests.
Our farm uses fresh, filtered mountain spring water.
Please use water responsibly and never leave taps running. If the natural spring runs dry, it may take many hours before the water supply and filtration system can recover.
All our programmes include:
A basic breakfast
A basic warm evening meal
Lunch when agreed in advance
Our meals are prepared voluntarily with great care and many years of cooking experience. However, Farm Narava is not a restaurant and we cannot provide personalised restaurant service on demand.
If you require special diets or larger quantities of food, we kindly ask you to purchase these yourself from the nearby supermarket. When possible, we are happy to provide additional food at the actual purchase cost it cost us.
The following are freely available throughout your stay:
Instant Coffee
Tea
Fruit syrup
Fresh mountain water
Please remember that your contribution helps support the non-profit community project with social function and are not regular prices with personal services on demands.
For comparison, accommodation prices in Slovenia are generally (without meals and drinks) :
Tent pitching : from approximately €15 per person per night
Hostels: from approximately €30 per night
Private rooms or studios: from approximately €50 per night
Your contribution at Farm Narava includes not only support with accommodation but also shared facilities, meals, hospitality, and participation in our intercultural community, so please be respectful.
If you are looking for luxury accommodation or personal hotel style services, we kindly recommend choosing commercial accommodation instead.
To respect our neighbours and everyone staying at the farm:
The community area closes at 21:00 without exceptions.
Music will be switched off at this time.
Quiet hours at 22:00, in accordance with Slovenian law.
Please leave the community area on time so everyone can enjoy a peaceful night's rest.
During some of our projects, activities, and intercultural programmes, we may take some photographs to showcase the positive atmosphere and community spirit of Farm Narava and the work of our foundation. These photos are used only to promote our non-profit projects and activities and are never intended as personal or individual portraits.
If you would like a copy of any group photo in which you appear, we are happy to share it with you upon request.
If you do not wish to appear in any photographs used by the foundation only, please inform us in writing before your participation begins. Unfortunately, once photographs have been taken and published for foundation purposes, we cannot always remove them afterwards. In the end its your own choice to participate with much effort and sponsorship from the foundation and Farm Narava.
Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and respect.
We hope you have a wonderful stay, make new friendships, discover different cultures, enjoy the beautiful nature around us, and leave Farm Narava with unforgettable memories.
Welcome to our community, and enjoy your stay!
