Welcome to the Narava Project Farm, a non-profit EU foundation dedicated to promoting positive social support and intercultural exchange through partnerships with host farms and European organizations. For many years we’ve created meaningful opportunities on voluntary basis in Slovenia for individuals, families, and volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
Rooted in a mission being back towards the roots in Slovenia and doing amazing projects on an old farm with a special story and cultural history , the mission of kindness, community, and inclusion, we support families, single parents with children, schools, and charitable organizations through volunteer work, volunteer intercultural programs, and youth reintegration services. Located in the beautiful countryside near Most na Soči, the Narava Project Farm is a warm, welcoming but humble place where locals, travelers, and people from all cultures can come together to share food, language, stories, and respect.
From late spring through summer, we host also budget-friendly outdoor programs in our cultural exchange offer without the work exchange and provide food support included for students, scout groups, families, and digital nomads, those that seeking to reconnect with nature and bringing their own tent without having high normal cost. This all for just €15 non-profit contribution per person, per day include basic breakfast and warm meal (children under 12 are free and parents only pay a 5 euro contribution fee for the food for them). Guests can enjoy our more private swimming area along the Idrijca River, or explore more public swimming spots, kayak locations and hiking trails throughout the stunning Soča Valley. If you are a paraglider, in our area you have the well-known Kobala point and transportation can be arranged.
We also support individuals, families, and single parents year-round with non government social assistance services with most kindness and care, offer access to a cozy studio room , outdoor options that we advice between May - October and reconnect with nature, les screen time for your child(ren). We also are well known for many years as a helpful resource for both travelers and expats in Slovenia and Slovenian citizens relocating elsewhere in Europe.
Our Narava Reintegration Program offers youth—including those with disabilities or those who’ve had contact with the justice system—daily structure and meaningful nature-based work guided by a caring professional team. We create opportunities for growth, support, and healing, combining outdoor activities with social engagement.
We also organize daytime community service projects for youth groups (ages 15 and up), concluding each session with fun sharing meals, pizza or cooking workshops.
We provide support to women’s shelters (with or without children), offer outdoor self-defense classes, and conduct animal-assisted therapy sessions for children and people with disabilities.
Everyone is welcome—locals and international guests of all ages—to join our Community Food Days. With advance registration (required as we operate entirely on a volunteer and non-profit basis), you can enjoy:
Shared meals and picnics
Outdoor cooking and pizza workshops
Grill gatherings
Nature hikes and child-friendly activities
These events foster a sense of community, reduce social isolation (especially among the elderly), and bring joy to families and single parents without the burden of high costs. Children always participate for free, and adults are asked only for a modest contribution.
We rely fully on volunteers and heartfelt support. All donations—financial, material, or food—go directly back to the programs and communities we serve. A better world starts with how we care for one another. If you’d like to contribute, we are deeply grateful and can even offer promotional visibility in return.
Since 2003, our team has collaborated with family welfare organizations across Europe, engaged in animal and exotic rescue efforts, and operated a food bank for animals. With a rich background in aid work and international travel, culture, and social entrepreneurship, we launched the Narava Foundation in 2018 as a registered EU non-profit. Today, we are active in Slovenia and other EU countries including Croatia, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands—constantly growing, learning, and building new programs to uplift communities.
Outside of our structured programs, we proudly offer sponsored outdoor cultural vacations for underprivileged families, single parents, and individuals with disabilities like those that are visual impaired . These retreats are designed to give whole families—not just children—a chance to rest, reconnect, and enjoy nature together.

We invite you by appointment to be part of our community—whether as a guest, volunteer, supporter, or friend and the host and soul owner of the farm, making each year much effort to offer this all for many target groups. But please understand, as the farm is also a family home with children and sometimes from those from others, please respect the privacy of those living on the farm at all times, do not enter private areas and understand that children of the host and those present are not part of a program or it is intended for entertaining you and your child(ren) on wish. The parent(s) decide and are responsible at all time.
