Located in the stunning Idrijca Valley near Most na Soči, in the heart of Slovenia's beautiful Soča Valley, Farm Narava is a unique social and intercultural community farm dedicated to bringing people together through nature, culture, volunteering, and social support.

More than a farm, Farm Narava is a family friendly community farm that serves local families, elderly residents, and local youth, while also warmly welcoming visitors from near and far. It is a place where people from different backgrounds, cultures, and generations can meet, learn, share experiences, build friendships, and feel truly welcome. Through our non-profit activities, social programs and partnerships across Europe, we support youth, families, students, volunteers, single parents, people with disabilities, and individuals seeking connection, cultural exchange, personal growth, and a stronger sense of community.

 Our Story and Heritage

Farm Narava is built upon a rich local heritage and a strong tradition of community spirit.

The century old farmhouse has deep roots in Slovenian history, including connections to the Pirih - Simič family and the community values that were present during the period of the Slovene and Yugoslav Partisan movement during World War II.

For generations, local people supported one another through solidarity, friendship, and mutual assistance. These values remain at the heart of Farm Narava today.

As we often say:

"If the stones of this farmhouse could speak, they would tell enough stories to fill many books."

In 2018, the property began a new chapter as part of the European Narava Foundation - Narava Group, transforming into a place (Farm Narava) where people of all ages, cultures, and abilities can meet in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Meals are included within most organized programs.

Our reintegration activities help young people and adults build confidence, social skills, and independence through structured outdoor experiences.

 Affordable Non-Profit Stays & Cultural Retreats

From late spring until autumn, Farm Narava welcomes guests seeking a peaceful and meaningful stay in Slovenia.

We offer simple and community accommodation options on a non-profit basis, including:

 Natural tent pitches

 Campervan parking stop down the road

 Studio accommodation

 Cultural youth community hostel 

Guests may enjoy:

Only a modest contribution fee is requested to help support our social and community programs.

Whether you are a family, student, digital nomad, scout group, cyclist, motorcyclist, or nature lover, you will find a warm welcome at Farm Narava.

 Programs for single parents and families

Farm Narava offers a safe and supportive environment for single parents and families.

Activities may include:

• Short-term support programs

• Outdoor self-defense workshops

• Nature-based wellbeing sessions

• Animal-assisted activities

• Community networking opportunities

Our goal is to help create positive experiences that strengthen confidence, wellbeing, and community connections.

 Community Food Days

One of our most popular initiatives is our local Community Food Day.

Throughout the season, local residents and visitors come together to enjoy:

 Outdoor cooking experiences

 Shared community meals

 Family entertainment

 Games and activities

 Social gatherings

Children participate free of charge, while adults contribute a small voluntary fee to help cover basic costs.

These events help strengthen community connections while creating memorable experiences for people of all ages.

 A Meeting Point for Fly Fishers, Hikers, Cyclists & Motorcyclists

The Soča Valley is internationally known for its outstanding outdoor recreation opportunities.

Farm Narava provides a welcoming meeting place for:

Visitors can:

• Relax between journeys

• Meet fellow travelers

• Share experiences and local knowledge

• Access Wi-Fi

• Perform minor equipment maintenance

• Stay overnight in their tents or campervan, contribute for a room when available 

Each year, we proudly welcome travelers from across Europe who are exploring Slovenia and the wider region.

During severe weather conditions, we do our best to provide a safe, warm shower and supportive environment whenever possible for cyclists.
