Since the start of the projects at the Narava Farm in 2018 and with the positive use of knowledge from current and previous social work projects for various target groups, including families and single parents with child(ren). The offer for Women’s Shelter offers a free, confidential and temporary private safe haven with the use of a studio room or bed to those who are victims of domestic violence or have no place to sleep due to various circumstances or eviction. We do not report help requests to the official authorities unless this is desired or when there is acute danger that there is no other option to ensure your and our safety.
During the short shelter period, we also provide the option for workshops, self-defence training and at all time educational day tasks to maintain daily structure. but also we will offer the option to cook together and the child(ren) are included within the children in and around the farm, so so that loneliness does not arise and for the child within the situation becomes more bearable and plays among other children in happiness. The Narava Farm sometimes also work with partner farms that could provide temporary shelter. Sometimes even we want, we cannot help with the accommodation, but we do offer support and advice at all times.
Exceptionally, at the Narava farm we also offer a place for a pet such as a cat or a dog, but it is expected that good care and maintenance will be provided on your own cost.
Although we do not charge any costs for the social support in such cases. We kindly ask you to contribute to the basic costs for the food and drinks when possible. We will always think along with you as every situation is different.
If you have any doubts about your situation with, for example, domestic violence, you can always email us or contact us by WhatsApp to share your thoughts in trust. But don't wait if your situation is serious and Think of your child(ren) and yourself above all. No shame is necessary.... it takes a lot of courage and strength to walk away. Some things don't get better on their own and things often get out of hand.
